Hair should generally be around a few millimetres long for waxing to work effectively, so it's worth checking timing if you've recently shaved the area. Skin should be clean and free of lotion, oil or deodorant, as these can affect how well the wax adheres.
During your appointment, your therapist will confirm the areas being treated and check in on your comfort throughout. Strips or hot wax are applied in sections, depending on the area and your preference. Once finished, you'll be given advice on what to avoid — such as hot showers, sun exposure or tight clothing — for the following day.
